Do I need a health or performance coach?It depends! The fact of the matter is that the future of medicine is in prevention of health concerns, not the reaction to them. Aspects of fitness, nutrition, mental health, and lifestyle are the backbone of good health and will continue to be so for as long as we are human. The current medical model is reactive and is not built to sustain a healthy and fulfilling life, but to prevent death. A dedicated and competent health and personal performance coach is the bespoke solution for preventative medicine. While we can't say that you absolutely need a health coach without speaking with you, it is without a doubt highly beneficial to have your own personal physical therapist, nutritionist, fitness coach, behavior modification coach, and personal performance coach in your corner. One of the main benefits to working with FortitudeRx is that we are a value-driven company. We don't take on tons of clients at once because it would take away our ability to provide value to you. What are your credentials?Dr. Campbell is a licensed and practicing Doctor of Physical Therapy. He earned his Bachelor's of Science from The University of Alabama in Human Performance & Exercise Science with an additional focus in nutrition, before earning his DPT at Augusta University. He also has a CSCS (Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist) title from the National Strength and Conditioning Association, which is the highest S&C certification, as well as the Nutrition Coaching Institute - Level 1 Nutrition Coach certification. Carolyn Campbell has a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and is a 30-year veteran in human resources consulting in which she has developed, hired, and trained with hundreds of employees and organizations. Les Keyes is a 10-year strength and fitness coaching veteran who has mastered the art of online fitness coaching and has developed some of the strongest athletes in the country.

Why hybrid/online?We provide hybrid coaching services to the Birmingham, AL area because we can mix the best of both worlds of in-person and online coaching to optimize your results. A common misconception is that you need someone physically with you to see results both in the gym and in a rehab setting. As a Doctor of Physical Therapy, I can attest to the fact that you absolutely do not need someone to mobilize, manipulate, or massage you to get better. If you are in pain, what you need is someone to listen to your concerns, evaluate your life stressors, understand what is causing pain, and provide education and feedback on how to get better. It might sound crazy considering we provide physical therapy in Birmingham, but we encourage most to minimize the use of in-person treatments to reduce dependency and actually improve outcomes. Similarly, online fitness is booming, not only because of the pandemic, but because it works. People are quickly realizing that having a personal trainer watch you exercise and say, "Do 1 more" isn't what actually gets results. Systematic accountability, support, and planning is what gets massive results. This is the power of online coaching. The same goes for nutrition coaching, personal performance, and executive coaching. We have the technology to communicate effectively.
